My name is Cristiano, and I’m a 12-year-old Rock Star, Movie Star, and all-around Awesome Kid.
I was born with something called omphalocele. That means when I was born, some of my organs were actually outside my body. It made things really complicated, and I had to spend a lot of time in the hospital before I even got to go home. 507 days to be exact. I’ve had lots of surgeries, and I still live with things like a trach and feeding tube.
Even with all that, I’m still just a kid. And thanks to Starlight, I get to just be a kid. I go to concerts and sporting events (let’s go, Blue Jays!), ride in fast cars at Drive For Smiles, and even trick-or-treat in hotel rooms.
Starlight has made a huge difference for my whole family. They plan special outings where we don’t have to worry about all the medical stuff. Instead, we can focus on the fun stuff! They give us joy, confidence, and a place where I can truly be myself.
So, thank you. Because when you support Starlight, you’re not just giving kids like me a fun day. You’re giving our families moments we’ll never forget.
